Lakia Boyd

Lakia Boyd has a long and varied career history. In 2021, they began working as a Senior IT Compliance Auditor/Project Manager at BAI Security, a nationally recognized cybersecurity firm. Prior to this, they worked as a Transaction Manager and Realtor Associate at Baird & Warner from 2019-2021, a Compliance Officer-Vendor Management at Avant from 2016-2019, a Manager at Buffalo Wild Wings from 2014-2016, an Educator at Chicago Public Schools from 2013-2014, a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Instructor at Neumann Family Services from 2011-2013, and a Mental Health Professional at Children's Home Society & Family Services from 2007-2011.

Lakia Boyd obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale between 2003 and 2007. Lakia then went on to obtain a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from Roosevelt University between 2011 and 2013. Lakia also holds a Type 03 certification from the Illinois State Board of Education.
