Dawei Yin

Dawei Yin is a seasoned professional in the field of computer science, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Search Science at Baidu, Inc., since October 2019, where management encompasses a team of approximately 500 scientists focused on various search and retrieval technologies. Previously, Dawei held the position of Senior Director at JD.COM, overseeing a recommendation engineering team that significantly enhanced personalized systems and drove notable annual growth in GMV. At Yahoo Labs, from August 2013 to June 2016, Dawei led the relevance science team, earning two Best Paper Awards for contributions to search and recommendation relevance. Additional research experience includes internships at Microsoft Research Asia and Xerox Research Center Europe, as well as a research assistant role at Lehigh University, where Dawei focused on web mining and machine learning. Dawei holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Lehigh University and a Bachelor's degree from Shandong University.
