Sefton Laing

Sefton Laing is a seasoned professional in the fields of climate, environment, and sustainability, currently serving as a Senior Climate and Environment Specialist and Senior ESG Analyst at Baillie Gifford since March 2020. Previously, Sefton held various leadership roles at NatWest Group and RBS, focusing on environment strategy, sustainability performance, and reporting. Extensive experience includes positions as Head of Sustainability Performance and Development at RBS and Head of Sustainability Services at RBS plc, alongside contributions at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and UNEP Finance Initiative. Sefton holds an MSc in Environment and Development from The University of Edinburgh and participated in the Climate Leaders Programme at the University of Cambridge.
