Shan Shan

Shan Shan is an experienced investment professional currently serving as an Investment Manager for Private Companies at Baillie Gifford since July 2024, focusing on growth-stage investments in transformative technology ventures. Previously, Shan was a Partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners from 2020 to June 2024, contributing to the success of Lightspeed Growth and Lightspeed Gaming, and playing a key role in investments in notable companies such as Epic Games and 1Password. Prior to Lightspeed, Shan worked as a Senior Research Analyst at Point72, specializing in long/short equity in the consumer and TMT sectors, and also held the position of Portfolio Manager at the McIntire Investment Institute. Shan holds a B.S. in Commerce, with a focus on Finance and Information Technology from the University of Virginia, and has participated in a study abroad program with Semester At Sea.
