Kristen Deftos

Kristen Deftos is an accomplished Human Resources professional with extensive experience across leading firms. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Human Resources at Bain Capital since August 2012, Kristen provides strategic HR counsel across multiple business units, including Bain Capital Ventures and Bain Capital Double Impact. Prior experience includes roles as Vice President and Human Resources Relationship Manager at Wellington Management Company, where strategic HR initiatives were developed for various business lines, and as Vice President - HR Generalist at JP Morgan, covering diverse global business areas. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College and two Master of Arts degrees in Organizational Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University.
