Dr. Julian Löbbers

Julian Löbbers is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Manager at BCG Platinion since July 2019, focusing on M&A strategy, technology carve-outs, digital and data strategy development, strategic IT architecture analysis, and IT cost-cutting across the healthcare, TMT, and industrial goods sectors. Previous roles include Senior Consultant and Consultant at Technische Universität Darmstadt, where Julian conducted research in Information Systems and Electronic Services, and IT Professional and Software Engineer at Allianz Group. Julian holds a PhD in Information Systems from Technische Universität Darmstadt, as well as advanced degrees from HEC Montréal, the University of Münster, Copenhagen Business School, and California State University, Fresno. Research interests include online platforms, ecosystems, and information asymmetries within online ecosystems.
