Helen Pitts

Helen Pitts is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education, environmental conservation, and community service. Currently serving as a Special Education Paraeducator at Bainbridge Island School District since July 2022, Helen previously held the role of Program Coordinator for the Seattle Jesuit Volunteer EnCorps with JVC Northwest, focusing on service and social justice for older adults. Prior experiences include managing promotional marketing at TCi Design + Branding, modernizing volunteer coordination at Lawton Elementary, advising on water system policies at Seattle Public Utilities, directing operations at Seattle Urban Nature, and managing the conservation program for the Seattle Audubon Society. Helen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Anthropology and Sociology from Beloit College and a Professional Certificate in Wetland Science and Management from the University of Washington.
