John Branham

John Branham has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. John started their career as an Assistant Account Executive at Publicis Dialog in 2003 and then worked as a Senior Marketing Coordinator at SmithBucklin from 2004 to 2009. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University from 2009 to 2011.

In 2009, they joined TransUnion as a Public Relations and Social Media Manager, where they developed strategies and managed budgets for brand awareness campaigns. John also built relationships with the press and assisted in internal communications. In 2014, they became the Chief Communications Officer and Race Director at Any Baby Can, overseeing communication efforts, branding, and media relations.

From 2017 to 2023, John held multiple roles at Hexion Inc., including Internal Communications Leader, Senior Manager of Communications, Culture, and Engagement, and Director of Global Associate Communications & Development. In these positions, they focused on designing a people-centric associate experience, developing strategic communication plans, and connecting associates to the company's vision and business strategy.

In 2021, John joined the Board of Directors at Columbus Early Learning Centers. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Talent & Communications at Bakelite Synthetics, where they led marketing strategies and launched global campaigns to drive awareness and engagement. John also created corporate communications materials and established style guidelines.

John Branham earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business in 1999-2003. John then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations & Advertising from DePaul University from 2006-2008.
