In this role, they provided strategic and operational guidance in support of the entire Pricing cycle for an AmLaw 100 law firm with 700+ attorneys in 16 offices globally. John's team's leadership on pricing and monitoring of service delivery was a key component in the firm’s ability to grow profits per partner by ~8.5% per annum.

In January 2014, Strange left Vinson & Elkins to join Baker Botts as the Chief Practice Management Officer. In this role, they are responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the firm’s practice management function, including pricing, project management, legal technology, business development, and knowledge management.

John Strange has earned an MBA in Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, a MA in Biology (Molecular Genetics) from The University of Kansas, and a BS in Biology and Chemistry (double major) from University of Saint Mary. John also completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Law School Executive Education.
