Darren Malik

Darren Malik is a Principal Engineer and Testing Operations Manager at BakerRisk, where employment began in December 2011, following a role as Senior Consultant and Supervisor of the Blast Effects Testing Team. At BakerRisk, Darren has contributed to the operation of the Box Canyon Test Facility, which specializes in full-scale structural and explosion testing. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Engineer and Project Consultant, focusing on facility siting studies, consequence analysis, and explosion hazard assessments involving various blast sources. Formerly, Darren worked as a Consultant at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants from January 2010 to December 2011 and served as a Research Assistant at Texas A&M University from 2006 to 2009, conducting experiments for NASA and improving thermal energy storage materials through nanoparticle applications. Darren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University, completed in 2008.
