Rod Hunter

Partner

Rod Hunter serves as a Partner at Baker & McKenzie since 2016, bringing extensive experience in international economic policy. Prior roles include Senior Vice President for International at PhRMA, Vice President of Governmental Programs in Europe at IBM, and Senior Fellow at Hudson Institute, focusing on trade, development, energy, and food security. Hunter has also held significant positions such as Senior Director at the National Security Council, Senior Counsel at the US Trade Representative, and Partner at Hunton & Williams, where Rod headed the European regulatory practice. Early in his career, Hunter worked as an Associate to Chief Justice Sir Anthony Mason in Australia and as a Judicial Clerk for Judge Boyce Martin on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Hunter holds a JD from the University of Virginia School of Law and a BA from Hampden-Sydney College.
