Siew Moon Sim has a wealth of experience in tax and advisory roles. Siew Moon is currently the Head of Tax at Baker Tilly Singapore and a Committee Member at Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals. In the past, they have served as a Council Member at Families for Life Council and was recognized with the "Friends of MSF" award. Siew Moon also held leadership positions at the Tax Academy of Singapore and was a Committee Member at Tampines Meridian Junior College. Prior to their current roles, Moon Sim worked at EY as the Asia-Pacific Tax Policy and Controversy Practice Leader, Tax Partner, and Head of Tax for EY Singapore. Siew Moon was also a Board Member at Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals and the Tax Academy of Singapore. Before joining EY, Moon Sim was a Tax Partner at KPMG Singapore and Arthur Andersen & Co. Overall, they have a strong background in tax and advisory services, with extensive leadership experience.

Siew Moon Sim completed their Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from the National University of Singapore between 1980 and 1983. In 1978 and 1979, they obtained their "A" level Certificate in Science with a focus on Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Hwa Chong Junior College. In terms of additional certifications, they became a Fellow Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) in August 2004. In August 2010, they obtained the Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) Income Tax & GST certification from the Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals. In October 2016, they achieved the status of Fellow Certified Public Accountant from CPA Australia. In November 2019, they received the ISCA 30 Years Membership Milestone Badge from the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Additionally, in 2019, they attended the Comparative Tax Policy and Administration Program at Harvard Kennedy School and the Journey to the Boardroom Program at Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning. In May 2021, they obtained the Strategic Conversation Series certification from EY.
