John Cox

John Cox is an accomplished journalist with extensive experience in editorial and reporting roles. Currently serving as Managing Editor and Business Editor at The Bakersfield Californian since May 2018, John has also worked as a Freelance Journalist since April 2017. Previous positions include Reporter at San Diego Business Journal and various editorial and reporting roles at The Bakersfield Californian, Hispanic Business magazine, and Press-Telegram, among others. John began a career in journalism as a General-assignment Reporter at Los Angeles Times. John holds a Bachelor's degree in newspaper journalism, journalism, and Latin American studies from California State University, Long Beach, earned between 1992 and 1995.
