Shannon Zimmerman has been a hands-on educator in Kern County for 20 years. She’s worked at Title 1 schools leading innovation with 21 century teaching and learning. Shannon’s most known for her work in educational technology. She was named a top 40 innovator in education by The Center of Digital Education in 2013 for leading the Kern Google EDU/Chromebook rollout at Pond School. It was followed up in 2014 with a local award from Kern CUE naming her Teacher of the Year for her work integrating technology into the classroom.
