Senior Software Engineer at Balance Innovations

Seiji Suenaga has diverse experience in software engineering and bioinformatics. Seiji worked at Balance Innovations from 2012 to the present, where they initially served as a Development Intern, building internal tools and working on a customer-facing web app. Seiji then became a Software Engineer, leading the development of an IoT gateway device and making significant improvements to a legacy reporting project. In their current role as a Senior Software Engineer, they have utilized microservice and event-based serverless architectures to implement various functionalities. Seiji also worked as a Research Assistant in Bioinformatics at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where they scripted a data analysis pipeline for detecting genetic variants in RNA. Prior to that, they worked at Uhlig LLC as a Proofreader from 2008 to 2012.

Seiji Suenaga began their education in 2009 when they enrolled at Johnson County Community College. Seiji completed their Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems in 2012. Following this, from 2012 to 2015, Suenaga attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
