Zachary Underwood

Zachary Underwood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Zachary began their career as a Customer Service Cashier at Country Mart in 2010, where they provided excellent customer service and assisted with various store tasks. In 2012, they worked as a Retail Tech Consultant at Batteries Plus Bulbs, where they demonstrated technical expertise and helped customers find the right products for their needs.

In 2014, Zachary joined AT&T as a Wireless Sales Consultant, where they provided valuable guidance to customers in choosing wireless products and services. Zachary later transitioned to a role as a Network Technician at B&T Telecom in 2019.

Zachary's passion for hospitality led him to work as a Bartender at INTERNATIONAL TAP HOUSE in 2018, where they expertly served a wide selection of beers and educated customers on the various options available.

In 2019, they joined Starbucks as a Barista, ensuring customers received an enjoyable experience and maintaining store cleanliness and productivity. Simultaneously, they worked as a Branch Manager at The Callaway Bank, where they successfully managed the branch's sales and expenses and improved compliance audit results.

From 2015 to 2017, Zachary was a Personal Banker at The Callaway Bank, where they identified banking needs and provided financial advice to customers. Zachary demonstrated a strong commitment to preventing fraud and ensuring customers' financial security.

Zachary then pursued opportunities in software engineering, starting as a Software Engineer Intern at wrrk in 2020. Zachary later continued their software engineering journey at Balance Innovations, a Brink's Division, where they held multiple roles. As a Software Engineer, Zachary collaborated with interns and engineers to design and implement user management features. Zachary also played a vital role in upgrading core libraries and supporting engineering teams during the migration process to .NET 6.0. Currently, Zachary serves as the Internship Coordinator, overseeing the internship program at Balance Innovations.

Throughout their career, Zachary has demonstrated a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Zachary Underwood completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they studied Management Information Systems at Columbia College from 2018 to 2019. In 2012 to 2015, they attended Moberly Area Community College with a focus on Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Zachary has obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate, Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Associate, and Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner.
