Nathan Necaise

Nathan Necaise has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Nathan is currently a Co-Founder at Balance Theory, a company they started in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Optiv Inc from 2017 to 2022, holding various positions including Vice President/GM of Innovation, VP Innovation and Enablement - Emerging Services, and VP Data Science - Emerging Services. Nathan was the CEO of Decision Lab, LLC from 2015 to 2017 before it was acquired by Optiv Inc. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at PCI Strategic Management from 2009 to 2016, and at the United States Department of Defense from 2007 to 2009. Nathan also had shorter stints at DISA and Major Shared Resource Center, both within the Department of Defense. Nathan started their career as a Lab Technician at Mississippi State University and then worked as a Software Engineer at MPI Software Technology. Overall, their experience encompasses leadership roles, software engineering, data science, and cross-domain security solutions.

Nathan Necaise obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University between 2001 and 2005. Nathan then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the same institution from 2005 to 2007. In terms of certifications, Nathan obtained the Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer certification from Cloudera in September 2011. Nathan also holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2, acquired in 2009. Additionally, Nathan obtained the GCIH certification from Sans in 2008.
