William Niester, CISSP has over 20 years of experience in the cybersecurity field. From 2000 to 2007, they were the Director of Consulting and Pre-Sales for the public sector at VeriSign. From 2007 to 2010, they were the Director of Public Sector Markets at Qualys, Inc., responsible for developing and implementing vulnerability, configuration management, and compliance solutions. From 2010 to 2014, they were the President of WJN Solutions LLC, a consulting organization serving the military industrial complex. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Senior Principle Architect at CSC - Computer Sciences Corporation, managing cybersecurity and distributed infrastructure pre-sales architecture activities for the healthcare market. From 2016 to 2017, they were the Vice President of Customer Success, Strategy, and Pre-Sales at evolve24, providing cybersecurity advice to the President and CIO. From 2019 to 2021, they were an Independent Contractor at WJN Solutions LLC, evaluating clients' information security needs and developing cybersecurity and software controls. Since 2021, they have been the Director Solutions Architecture and Principal Solutions Architect at Balbix, building a new cyber-security platform to comprehensively and continuously measure the enterprise attack surface.

William also holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan. Additionally, they are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², and a Certified Professional Innovator (CPI) from the University of Michigan.
