Mark Roberts

Mark Roberts has a diverse work experience in revenue cycle management and administrative roles in the healthcare industry. Mark is currently serving as the Director of Revenue Cycle Management at Balboa Nephrology Medical Group and Balboa United since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at UC San Diego Health from 2016 to 2020, initially as an Assistant Director of Revenue Cycle and later as a Revenue Cycle Manager. At UCSD Health, they successfully resolved 40% of outstanding credits within the first year, implemented automation optimizations, and redesigned workflows for reconciliation and payment posting.

Before joining UCSD Health, Mark worked at Scripps Health from 2011 to 2016, where they held roles as an Authorization Coordinator/AR2 and later as a Business Services Supervisor. Mark also has experience as a Medical Office Administrator at San Diego Youth Services from 2006 to 2011, where they managed various business functions and supervised staff and interns. Furthermore, Mark worked as an Administrative Associate B at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego from 2003 to 2006.

Mark Roberts earned their MBA in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2009 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications, including Medical Billing & Coding Fundamentals from the University of Phoenix in August 2021, ARCR: Single Billing Office Cash Posting and Credit Management from Epic in December 2019, and Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in August 2020. Mark also holds HFMA's Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification.
