James Dawkins

James Dawkins is an attorney and Judge Advocate with a strong track record in both litigation and military law. Currently serving as an associate in the litigation practice group at Balch & Bingham LLP, James specializes in intellectual property and patent law, while also handling commercial litigation, products liability, personal injury, and construction law. In parallel, James holds the rank of Major (O-4) in the US Air Force Reserve, where responsibilities include advising a two-star general officer on military justice matters across several subordinate units. Prior experience encompasses roles as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where James managed military justice for a space wing and provided risk management services, and as an associate attorney with a focus on construction, intellectual property, and general litigation. James holds a Juris Doctor from Samford University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The University of Alabama.
