Ricky Cadden has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ began their career as a Sales Associate at SC Kiosks, Inc., where they assisted customers in creating communication solutions. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ then worked at Time Warner Cable Media Sales, first as a Regional Sales Assistant, where they designed targeted advertising packages for large clients, and later as an Account Executive, managing client lists and creating custom advertising packages.
Ricky then transitioned to Nokia Mobile Phones, where they served as an Ambassador Relations Specialist in S60 Marketing. In this role, they built and maintained relationships with S60 Ambassadors, responding to their reports and providing feedback. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ also assisted in redesigning the S60 Ambassadors website.
After that, Ricky worked at MobileBurn.com as a News Editor, responsible for covering wireless industry news and reviewing products. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ gained experience in proofreading, copywriting, and using Photoshop and video editing tools.
Ricky also founded Symbian-Guru.com, a Symbian-focused website that became respected within the Symbian ecosystem. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ built a thriving community of active commenters and shared news and personal observations of the mobile industry.
Moving on, Ricky joined RadioShack as a Store Manager, where they were responsible for sales performance, operating excellence, and personnel management. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ later became a Social Media Manager, developing content and marketing programs to promote the brand and implementing the corporate social media strategy. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ also managed key social media campaigns and collaborated with cross-functional teams.
At Sabre Corporation, Ricky served as a Digital Content Manager for Traveler Experience. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ implemented a social content strategy, launched an email program, partnered with an SEO agency, and managed the marketing website content and design. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ also handled B2B marketing and worked with various marketing tools and platforms.
Following that, Ricky worked at Sprint as a Manager, Corporate Communications Social Media, and later as a Manager, Digital Communications. In these roles, they were responsible for executive social media, managing @SprintNews, advising senior level executives, and overseeing employee social comms initiatives.
Most recently, Ricky joined Balcom Agency as the Director of Digital Strategy. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ guides the strategic direction for clients, focusing on an integrated approach across all digital channels. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ leads the digital analytics team, works closely with various teams to identify client objectives, and serves as the agency's subject-matter expert for projects including CRM, data, email, marketing automation, landing pages, and SEO.
Ricky Cadden earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Marketing and Management from Abilene Christian University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their undergraduate education, Ricky has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in various areas of marketing. Notable certifications include a FullStory Product Certification from FullStory in December 2022, a TeamOps certification from GitLab in October 2022, and a Mailchimp Foundations certification from Intuit Mailchimp in June 2022. Ricky has also completed several online courses, such as "Advanced Product Marketing" and "Create a Go-to-Market Plan" on LinkedIn, both obtained in October 2021. Ricky π¨π»βπ§ holds certifications in remote work foundations from GitLab Inc. and various marketing certifications from IBM. Furthermore, Ricky has completed courses from HubSpot Academy, including "Email Marketing," "HubSpot Marketing Software," and "HubSpot CMS For Marketers" in 2022. In 2019, they received advanced and power user certifications from the Google Analytics Academy.
