Patrik Hesselius

Patrik Hesselius has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Patrik is currently serving as the Head of Business Development at Fastighets AB Balder since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Adviser at Uppsala kommun from September 2017 to September 2021. Patrik also co-founded and worked as a Senior Consultant at Stratminds, where they supported companies and organizations in realizing their ideas and developing their operations in a rapidly changing society, from July 2016 to September 2021.

Before their time at Stratminds, Patrik had research roles at The Institute for Labour Market Policy Evaluation, first as a Research Fellow from April 2005 to October 2008, and later as an Affiliated Research Fellow from October 2008 to April 2016. Patrik also served as the Head of Public Affairs at Skandia from February 2011 to February 2015.

Patrik has experience in political advisory roles as well. Patrik worked as a Political Advisor at The Primeministers Office from April 2010 to November 2010, and at the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, first as a Special Adviser from April 2008 to October 2008, and later as a Political Advisor from October 2008 to April 2010.

Additionally, Patrik held an academic position as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Uppsala University, from June 2004 to October 2008. Overall, their work experience exhibits a wide range of expertise and contributions in the fields of business development, consulting, research, public affairs, and political advisory.

Patrik Hesselius obtained their Bachelor of Social Science in Statistics and Master of Social Science in Economics from Uppsala University between 1992 and 1999. In 1997, they briefly studied Economics at the University of Groningen. Additionally, they pursued a PhD in Economics at Uppsala University from 1999 to 2004. In 2001 to 2002, they also attended the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on Economics.
