Jim Martinelli

Jim Martinelli has been with Rosenthal Brothers since 2015 and joined the firm in June 2020 when Rosenthal became a part of the BRP family. Jim specializes in commercial risk, with particular interest in real estate, non-profits, and construction firms.

Prior to his career in insurance, he was an option trader and partner in a hedge fund and private equity firm. His company invested in developed real estate and invested in public companies. After successfully exiting that business, he joined Rosenthal Brothers as a Producer.

Jim graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship. He continued his studies at DePaul University earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Jim is an avid sports enthusiast and enjoys coaching and watching his boys play basketball.
