Dan Karp

AVP, University Relations at Baldwin Wallace University

Dan Karp is currently the AVP of University Relations at Baldwin Wallace University. Prior to their current position, Dan served as the Executive Director of Creative Services at Kent State University from January 2010 to August 2014. In this role, Dan was responsible for driving student success, building the Kent State brand, and inspiring pride among KSU graduates.

Before their time at Kent State, Dan spent 16 years at Wyse Advertising, where they served as the Senior Vice President and Creative Director. In this role, Dan oversaw a team of writers and art directors who created effective direct communications for a variety of clients, including Dirt Devil, Moen, Cleveland Clinic, Rockwell Automation, GE Lighting, and Meineke.

Dan began their career in advertising as an Associate at iCatcher in 1994 before being promoted to Creative Director at Monaco/Viola Inc. three years later. In 1987, Dan began working as a Senior Graphic Designer at Goldsmith Yamasaki Specht.

Dan Karp's educational career includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design/Illustration from Kent State University and North Olmsted High School.

Dan Karp reports to Robert C. Helmer, President. They are on a team with Stephen D. Stahl - Provost, Timeka Rashid - VP, Student Affairs, and Ellen Zegarra - Interim VP, Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement.
