Rafael Morillo

Rafael Morillo has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Rafael began their career in 1997 as a Product Manager at UST Global Spain (previously TCP S.I.). In 2003, they co-founded Ampl)) IoT, where they served as Executive Director, Team Manager, and Co-Founder. During their 15-year tenure at Ampl)) IoT, they were responsible for defining corporate strategy, product roadmap, planning yearly P&L, leading international delivery agreements, and closing product licensing agreements. In 2018, they founded ILEX Consulting IoT & AI, a freelance consultancy specializing in digital transformation with a focus on IoT and software solutions. Currently, they are a Customer Success Lead and Solutions Architect at Balena, where they assist customers to design the best approach for their embedded, container-based solutions. Rafael also interacts with the product and support teams to help design product features, define the roadmap, and prioritize development.

Rafael Morillo obtained an Engineer degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid between 1992 and 1998. Rafael also attended Schulzentrum SEK II Bremen. In addition, Rafael has obtained several certifications, including "IoT Edge Computing: Introduction to AWS GreenGrass" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020, "Blockchain A-Z: Learn how to build your first blockchain" from SuperDataScience in June 2020, "Machine Learning A-Z: Hands-on Python and R in Data Science" from SuperDataScience in June 2020, "Creating Your Sales Process" from LinkedIn in March 2019, "Business Innovation Foundations" from LinkedIn in February 2019, and "Developing a Competitive Strategy" from LinkedIn in February 2019.
