Lara Thorns

Lara Thorns has a robust background in communications, currently serving as the Head of Contract Communications at Balfour Beatty Living Places since April 2022. Prior to this position, Lara held various roles, including Internal Communications Specialist at Highways England from April 2019 to April 2022, and Communications Manager at Amey from July 2012 to April 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as Press and Community Liaison Officer at Coventry City Football Club and as a PR Accounts Executive at Furore PR. Lara's career began with a role as Communications Assistant during an industrial placement at McDonald's Corporation. Lara holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Birmingham City University, obtained between 2004 and 2006.
