Cass Martin

Cass Martin currently serves as the Group Head of Employee Communications at Balfour Beatty plc, a role held since February 2020. Previously, Cass was the Head of Content and Channels at HM Revenue & Customs from March 2017 to February 2020, overseeing internal communications strategy and a team of over 60 professionals. In earlier positions, Cass led digital communications strategies at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, focusing on award-winning digital campaigns and social media engagement. Extensive experience at UK Trade and Investment as a Website Manager and a brief secondee role with the Number 10 Digital Communications Team further solidified Cass's expertise in digital communication. Academic qualifications include an MA in Information Studies from The University of Sheffield, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communications Leadership from The University of Huddersfield, and a BA (Hons) in Politics, Third World Studies from Coventry University.
