Robin Phelps-Ward

Robin Phelps-Ward is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in higher education. Currently serving as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School and Assistant Professor of Higher Education at Ball State University since August 2019, Robin directs the Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education Master of Arts Program and teaches within the Department of Educational Leadership. Prior to this, Robin was an Assistant Professor at Clemson University, where courses focused on multicultural counseling and assessment in the context of higher education and student affairs. Earlier roles at Ball State University included Instructor and Assistant Director of Debate, as well as a Doctoral Assistant in the Ph.D. Pathways Program, highlighting a commitment to mentoring minority students. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education, Master of Arts in Communication Studies, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism & Mass Communications and Organizational Communication from Ball State University and Murray State University.
