Holly Johnson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project coordination, financial analysis, and program management within the international development and social sustainability sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Ballad since April 2021, Holly previously held roles at Bissell Centre, where contributions were made to financial empowerment initiatives, and at Solidaridad Network, focusing on sustainable agribusiness development. Prior experience includes coordinating projects for World University Service of Canada, emphasizing financial inclusion for cocoa farmers, and serving as an Organizational Development Advisor for Cuso International. Holly's foundational expertise in financial analysis was developed at Alberta Health Services, complemented by an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.

Ballad
Founded in 2012, Ballad provides workforce development programs for unemployed and underemployed Albertans in 6 regions across the province. Our industry-driven programs prepare participants to obtain meaningful employment in a diversity of industries including supply chain, construction, hospitality, insurance and agriculture. Our programs include essential skills workshops, simulated work sites, in-class occupational training, micro-credentials, employer site visits and job placements. Our impact goal is to empower participates to be resilient and reattach to the workforce long-term. We also provide economic development, community development and business advisory consulting services for rural municipalities and Indigenous Communities. We integrate an engagement process that supports our clients achieve their vision for the future.
