Senior Hydrogen Safety Engineer at Ballard Motive Solutions

Maxim Bragin has a diverse work experience in the field of hydrogen safety and storage. Maxim is currently employed at Ballard Motive Solutions as a Senior Hydrogen Safety Engineer since March 2022, and previously worked as a Hydrogen Safety Engineer from April 2021 to March 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Research Associate at Loughborough University from December 2013 to December 2015. Maxim also worked at Ulster University, where they were a Lecturer in Hydrogen Storage and Safety from January 2012 to January 2013, and earlier as a Research Associate from September 2006 to December 2011. Before their tenure at Ulster University, they were a Research Assistant at the Joint Institute for High Temperatures, Russian Academy of Science from September 2001 to August 2006. Additionally, they gained experience as a Research Assistant at Sittingbourne Analytical Laboratory Ltd. from April 2005 to July 2005.

Maxim Bragin's education history begins in 1997 when they attended the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) and obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics. During their time at MIPT, their studies focused on the experimental and numerical investigation of Shock Wave and structure interaction.

Maxim then went on to pursue further education at Ulster University, starting in 2006. Maxim completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Hydrogen Safety in 2009, specializing in this field of study. Additionally, in 2008, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree, also in Hydrogen Safety, from the same university.

In 2007, Maxim Bragin earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Hydrogen Safety Engineering at Ulster University, further enhancing their expertise in this area.
