George Skinner

George Skinner has extensive experience in product safety and engineering within the fuel cell industry, currently serving as Global Director of Product Safety and previously as Principal Engineer at Ballard Power Systems since October 2000. George has led the development of product safety strategies and engineering guidelines while also holding responsibilities as a Stack Architect for Ballard's air-cooled fuel cell stacks platform. Prior roles include Senior Engineer in the Advanced Development Group, focusing on advanced fuel cell designs, and Test Engineer, where George developed performance and durability test protocols. Before joining Ballard, George worked as a Product Engineer at Stream Flo Industries, establishing a product testing lab for API 6A wellhead products, and conducted research as a Graduate Student at the University of Alberta. George holds both M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
