Ballard Power Systems
Ryan Paddon has over two decades of experience in the fuel cell industry, currently serving as the Manager of Stack Hardware Engineering at Ballard Power Systems since June 2002. In this role, Ryan specializes in the design of PEM Fuel Cell Stack compression hardware, employing tools such as DFMEA, Creo, and ANSYS to develop advanced liquid cooled systems. Previous positions at Ballard included Product Development Engineering, where Ryan focused on design processes, and Applications Engineering, providing customer support for fuel systems. Ryan also has a background in Test Engineering, having developed and executed comprehensive testing protocols. Earlier experience includes a position as an Assistant Design Engineer at Xcellsis, where Ryan conducted functionality and durability tests on fuel cell engine components. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
