Maria Murphy-Mayberry

Maria joined Ballet Austin in 2013 and currently serves as the senior development manager for the organization. In this role, she manages the writing process for all grants, soliciting information and data from all Ballet Austin departments to prepare accurate and effective funding proposals and reports. She also assists with program design and evaluation, researches potential new funding opportunities, maintains contact with foundation and government funders, and manages the timely submission of all funding proposals and reports. Prior to her current position, Maria served as Ballet Austin’s community education associate from 2013-2016 and as the organization’s grants writer from 2014-2016. Maria is a native Austinite and holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Dance from Bennington College.
