Kevin Mandia is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the cybersecurity sector. As a co-founder and strategic partner at Ballistic Ventures since December 2021, Mandia concurrently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Mandiant, a role held since October 2021. Previously, Mandia held the position of CEO at FireEye, Inc. from December 2013 to September 2021, and was the CEO and founder of Mandiant Corporation from 2004 to 2013. Early in the career, Mandia worked as Director at Foundstone between 2000 and 2003, and as Director of Training at Sytex/Lockheed Martin from 1998 to 2000. Mandia began professional service as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations from 1996 to 1998, following an officer role in the United States Air Force from 1992 to 1998. Mandia holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Lafayette College and a Master of Science in Forensic Science from The George Washington University, supplemented by studies at Harvard Business School.
