Tyler Toro

Research Project Manager at BallotReady

Tyler Toro has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Tyler'smost recent experience is as a Data Fellow at BallotReady, which they began in 2021. Prior to that, they were a Teaching Assistant for Justice Through Code at Columbia University in the City of New York, where they co-taught and led student teams, reviewed Python coding boot-camp challenges, managed GitHub, and conducted personalized teaching sessions during office hours. From 2012 to 2021, Tyler worked at Shake Shack, where they held the roles of Operations Manager, Team Supervisor, and Administrative Supervisor. Tyler also held a Human Resources Intern role at Stony Brook University from 2012 to 2021.

Tyler Toro recently completed an accelerated Python coding bootcamp at Columbia University in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Stony Brook University between 2008 and 2012. In 2021, they also obtained an AWS Academy Graduate - AWS Academy Cloud Foundations certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In 2013, they obtained a NYC Food Handlers Permit from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Finally, in November 2021, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
