Samuel Kandel

Samuel Kandel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Samuel is currently working as a Senior Fund Accountant at Balmoral Funds, where they manage financial reporting, tax compliance, and partner capital accounts. Prior to this, they worked as a Fund Accountant & Compliance Associate at the same company.

Before joining Balmoral Funds, Samuel was the Managing Member of SEJK, LLC, where they led the investment strategy and managed the company's affairs. Samuel also worked at Kandel & Associates, LLC as an Operations Manager and member.

Samuel started their career as an Assurance Associate at RSM US LLP. Samuel gained experience in tax preparation as a VITA Preparer at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, CSUN. Samuel also worked as a Business Core Tutor at California State University, Northridge.

Samuel has prior experience in finance as an Underwriting Summer Analyst at GemCap, where they assessed financial packages and conducted financial analysis. Samuel served as a Combat Soldier in the IDF - Israel Defence Forces and worked as a Legislative Intern at the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee.

Additionally, Samuel held the position of Commissioner of EOPS at Santa Monica College, where they served as a liaison between Associated Students and Extended Opportunities Programs and Services.

Samuel Kandel obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from California State University, Northridge, where they studied from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Yula Boys High School. In 2017, they obtained a certification as an IRS Tax Law Volunteer (Advanced VITA Preparer) from the Internal Revenue Service.
