Marek Andres Kauts serves as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Viru Elektrivõrgud, the second-largest electricity district system operator in Estonia, since March 2024. Kauts has held the position of Investment Director at BaltCap since December 2020 and previously worked as the Business Development Manager at Elektrum Eesti from March 2019 to December 2020. Kauts co-founded and served as CEO of FootonVolt AS from January 2017 to November 2018. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Counsellor to the Management Board and as the Chairman of the Management Board and CEO at Eesti Interneti SA | Estonian Internet Foundation from February 2009 to August 2012. Additionally, Kauts was a Member of the University Council at Tallinn University of Technology from June 2007 to August 2010. Kauts holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Business Information Technology from TalTech. Educational background also includes attendance at DTU - Technical University of Denmark and completion of studies at Tallinn Secondary Science School (Reaalkool).
