The Baltic Exchange
Chris Loveday is an experienced professional in the tanker shipping industry, currently serving as a Tanker Freight Market Assessor at The Baltic Exchange since April 2019. Previously, Chris held the position of Tanker Chartering at Trade & Transport (UK) Ltd, where responsibilities included negotiating period and spot market fixtures for a fleet of 13 oil tankers. Earlier experience includes a role as a Ship Broker at Clarksons Platou, with a focus on Aframax and Suezmax chartering. Chris has also worked as a Tanker Broker with ANGLO MARITIME (SHIPBROKERS) LIMITED and ASP SHIP MANAGEMENT LIMITED, and began a career in the tanker department at John I Jacobs PLC. Educationally, Chris attended Ardingly College from 1983 to 1988.

Founded in 1744, the Baltic Exchange is headquartered in London with regional offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Athens, Stamford and Houston. In 2016 the Baltic Exchange was acquired by Singapore Exchange ("SGX").
