Joel Neft

Joel Neft has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the English Department Chair at Baltimore City Public Schools since August 2001, where responsibilities include teaching various grades and developing the English curriculum. Joel has facilitated the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company's performances of "Hamlet" and "Romeo and Juliet," earning recognition in Baltimore's Child. In addition to the current role, Joel has served as an English Second Language Instructor with the National Writing Project since June 2009 and has previously taught at Shoshana S. Cardin High School and Engli. Joel holds an Administrative I Degree in Education from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's degree in English and English Education from Miami University.
