Virginia Anderson currently serves as the Curator of American Art and Department Head for American Painting & Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the Baltimore Museum of Art, a position held since 2018. Prior to this role, Virginia was a Lecturer at the Maryland Institute College of Art from 2012 to 2018 and worked as the Diane and Michael Maher Assistant Curator of American Art at Harvard Art Museums from 2005 to 2010. Virginia's earlier experience includes serving as Director at Gallery NAGA in Boston from 1997 to 1999. Virginia holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Harvard University.
