Jim Bigwood has extensive experience in audio production and communications, currently serving as Game Day A1 for the Baltimore Orioles since April 2022 and as an Adjunct Professor teaching Audio Production at McDaniel College since 2006. Previously, Jim worked as Audio Supervisor at Maryland Public Television from November 1997 to June 2022, managing audio departments and mixing audio for numerous PBS programs. Other roles include Senior Communications Specialist at Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, Communications Specialist at The J. L. Wickham Co., Inc., and Engineer at WBAL Radio, where Jim produced a top-rated morning drive show. Jim holds an MA in Mass Communications from Towson University and a BAEd in Mathematics from Virginia Tech.

The Baltimore Orioles are a Major League Baseball team playing based in Baltimore, Maryland in the United States. Since the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore in 1954, the Orioles have become a staple in downtown Baltimore. Moving forward, the club has collected 3 World Series titles, 7 American League Pennants, 9 American League East Division titles, and 3 Wild Card berths. The club has also fostered Hall of Fame careers for Earl Weaver, Eddie Murray, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer and Cal Ripken, Jr. Under the general management of Mike Elias and managed by Brandon Hyde, the Orioles have been rebuilding their franchise since 2019. With the #1 ranked farm system, according to MLB Pipeline, the Orioles are beginning to see new talent take the field.
