Beth Hart

Deputy Chief, Data Driven Strategies Division at Baltimore Police Department

Beth Hart has a diverse work experience in the field of Information Technology, primarily focused on law enforcement agencies. Beth currently holds the position of Director of Information Technology at the Baltimore Police Department since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Trigyn Technologies as a Project Manager for the Baltimore Police Department's Information Technology Section from January 2018 to March 2023. Beth'sresponsibilities included managing various projects such as the expansion of the License Plate Recognition project, CCTV, and Gun Shot Detection initiative.

Before joining Trigyn Technologies, Beth worked at the Annapolis Police Department as the Special Projects Director from April 2008 to November 2016. In this role, they oversaw and directed projects related to Public Safety Coordination, Grant Management, Information Technology research and procurement, Crime Analysis, and other initiatives. Beth also represented the Chief of Police in regional technology and data sharing initiatives, and provided training to stakeholders and personnel on new programs and technologies.

Beth's early work experience includes their role as the Director of CCTV at the City of Baltimore from April 2005 to April 2008.

Beth Hart holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from the University of Baltimore, which they obtained from 1997 to 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from the University of Richmond from 1981 to 1985. Before their college education, Beth Hart attended Maryvale Preparatory School from 1976 to 1981, focusing on a college preparatory curriculum. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications such as Introduction to ArcGIS I from Esri in June 2008, Analyst's Notebook Workshop Level 1 from i2, Inc. in August 2004, and Analytical Investigative Techniques from Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training in March 2003 and from Washington/Baltimore HIDTA in August 2002.
