Pam Bowen has extensive experience in project management and youth ministry coordination, currently serving as Project Manager and Youth Ministry Coordinator at the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church since September 2008. In this role, Pam represents the Conference Council on Youth Ministry (CCYM) and acts as a Safe Sanctuary Representative, while also serving as the Conference representative for Young People's Ministry in the Northeastern Jurisdiction. Prior to this, Pam held the position of Development Director/Project Manager at Annapolis Area Christian School from 2000 to 2008, where efforts focused on fundraising strategies and grant acquisition. Earlier in their career, Pam was Vice President of Marketing and Project Management at Annapolis Bank and Trust from 1980 to 2000, overseeing sales management and marketing communications. Pam holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland.

Under the leadership of Bishop LaTrelle Easterling and Lay Leader Delores Martin, the Baltimore-Washington Conference of The United Methodist Church is made up of 1,024 clergy and 177,031 members in 642 churches in Maryland, Washington, D.C., the panhandle of West Virginia and Bermuda. As a connectional church, the Baltimore-Washington Conference joins in ministry with churches around the world in 68 other annual conferences that make up the denomination, which totals more than 12 million members. The mission of the conference is to call, equip, send and support spiritual leaders to make disciples for the transformation of the world. The conference staff of more than 50 people does its ministry at the BWC’s Mission Center in Fulton, Md., at a satellite office at 12 S. Walnut St. in Hagerstown, and at three camps near Annapolis, Harper’s Ferry and Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
