Seyedmohammad Shams

Seyedmohammad Shams is a seasoned professional in healthcare data science and artificial intelligence/machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Healthcare Data Scientist and AI/ML Expert at the University of Maryland Medical System since March 2024 and as an Adjunct Professor at Lawrence Technological University since November 2023. Prior roles include Data Science Manager at Spectral AI, Staff Scientist and Lead Data Scientist at Henry Ford Health, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest (University of Toronto). With extensive experience in developing machine learning methodologies, defining research strategies, and teaching various courses related to electrical engineering and biomedical engineering, Seyedmohammad holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran, complemented by an MS in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in Electrical Engineering.
