Marcel Bachmann

Marcel Bachmann currently serves as a Desk Officer at the Federal Ministry for Economics and Climate Action, focusing on lightweight construction, circular economy, greenhouse gas reduction, research, and international relations since November 2023. In addition, Marcel has been a Research Scientist and Research Team Leader at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung since April 2009, leading a working group on welding simulation. Marcel's academic background includes a Dr.-Ing. in Physical Engineering, obtained from Technische Universität Berlin from 2009 to 2013, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Physical Engineering from the same institution, completed from 2004 to 2009. Marcel began the educational journey with a university-entrance diploma from Max-Planck secondary school Berlin, earned from 1996 to 2003.
