Sander Den Blanken

Sander den Blanken has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Sander started their career as a Civil Engineer at Advin Noorwest B.V. in 1996. Sander then worked as a Structural Engineer at Ruppert Bouwtechiek (current Evers & Partners) from 1996 to 1999. Following that, they joined Arcadis as a Structural Engineer, specializing in infrastructure construction projects from 1999 to 2003. Sander then moved on to Gemeente Amsterdam, where they worked as a Senior Consultant and Consulting Engineer on various projects from 2003 to 2008. Sander joined Arup in 2008 and held several positions, including Senior Consultant, Associate, Associate Director, and Director. During their time at Arup, they were responsible for managing and directing projects related to bridge design and engineering. In 2019, they joined BAM Infra Nederland as the Managing Director of BAM Infra Asset Management. In 2022, they took on the role of Director Commercial Business Development, where they were responsible for diversifying, growing, and improving the business in collaboration with stakeholders. Throughout their career, Sander den Blanken has shown expertise in design, management, and leadership roles within the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors.

Sander den Blanken has a diverse education history. Sander holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Delft University of Technology, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, attending from 1992 to 1996. Sander also received their atheneum degree from Sint Nicolaaslyceum Amsterdam, specializing in mathematics, physics, biology, German, English, Netherlands, and history, from 1986 to 1992. In terms of professional development, they pursued an Accelerated Development Programme in Business/Commerce, General at London Business School from 2012 to 2013, as well as a Leading Change Programme in 2016. Additionally, Sander has obtained certifications from various institutions, including GPI GPI Installatie from eX:plain in 2021, Member of IABSE from IABSE in 2001, and Register Ontwerper from Constructeursregister in 2012.
