Jill Schmidt

Jill Schmidt has extensive experience in the finance sector, particularly in public finance and underwriting. Beginning a career at Financial Guaranty Insurance Company from 2002 to 2007, Jill held roles as Vice President for Public Finance Underwriting and Surveillance in the IOUs and Public Power sectors. Following this, a position as Vice President at Assured Guaranty was held from June 2010 to March 2013, before transitioning to Build America Mutual Assurance Company in March 2013 as Vice President of Public Finance Underwriting, a position maintained to the present. Additionally, in February 2025, Jill took on the role of Managing Vice President and Head of Energy at BAM Mutual. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master's degree in Finance and Investments from Clarkson University and Baruch College, respectively.
