Hilary Maxson

CFO at Schneider Electric

Hilary Maxson is the Chief Financial Officer at Schneider Electric. Hilary has held this position since January 2019. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Energy Management at Schneider Electric from May 2017 to January 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the financial, risk, and transformation leadership of Schneider's €20 billion energy management business. This included 5 business units with worldwide leadership in low and medium voltage as well as secure power.

From November 2014 to May 2017, Ms. Maxson served as the CFO of Asia for The AES Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for all aspects of finance for AES’s operations in Asia, which spanned 13 countries and nearly $3 billion in revenue.

Ms. Maxson began their career at Arthur Andersen LLP in 1997 and spent 6 years there in various roles in the assurance practice before moving to AES in 2003. At AES, they spent 11 years in a variety of finance roles including Director of Investor Relations and Treasurer before being named CFO of Asia in 2014.

Ms. Maxson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia and is a Certified Public Accountant in Virginia.

Hilary Maxson received their MBA from Cornell University - Johnson Graduate School of Management in Applied Economics and Management. Hilary also holds a degree in Applied Economics & Management from Cornell University.

They work with Zheng Yin - EVP, China Operations, Annette Clayton - CEO, North America, and Hervé Coureil - Chief Governance Officer & Secretary General. Hilary Maxson reports to Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman & CEO. and Leslie Bensoussan - VP, Tax - EMEA reports to Hilary Maxson.
