Camilo is an economist with an MA in economic development from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, and an MPA in international development from Harvard University. He worked for the Colombian government for 16 years, at the Central Bank as Head of Financial Markets Development, at the Ministry of Finance as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Minister and as Head of Regulation at the Financial Superintendence of Colombia.

Currently, Camilo is Managing Partner at Pronus, the leading Boutique Investment Bank in the regulated Fintech space in Colombia. Pronus structured and launched UALET, the first regulated nano-investment platform in Latin America, distinguished as the most innovative Fintech in the region by Finnovista in 2018, co-structured the first insure-tech platform in Colombia (1Q – 2021), a savings & payments gateway (May 2019) and is currently structuring 5 digital banks (1Q 2021). Camilo is also a member of the board in several financial institutions in Colombia (BNP Paribas Securities Services, Colfondos, PiP Securities Price Vendor) and in ISA, the largest Multi-Latin Energy Transmission Group.
