Manel Sanmarti

Manel Sanmarti has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. In 1997, they worked as a Project Engineer at ESRF - The European Synchrotron. From 1998 to 2006, they were a Cryogenics Engineer at Conseil Europeen pour la Recherche Nuclearie (CERN). Manel then joined Fusion for Energy - Ciemat in 2006 as a Cryogenics Expert. In 2008, Manel became the Director & Co-Founder of ISUNO Energy, a consultancy and engineering company specializing in renewable energy and energy efficiency. In 2010, they started working at IREC - Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya, holding various roles such as Electrical Engineering Research Area and Barcelona Fusion Center Manager, Corporate Development and Technology Transfer Director, and Director of the Energy for Society (XRE4S) Catalan research network. In 2020, Manel co-founded Bamboo Energy Platform SL, where they served as the Co-Founder and business developer. Finally, in 2022, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Bamboo Energy. Throughout their career, Manel has demonstrated expertise in various sectors, including engineering, research, and energy.

Manel Sanmarti obtained a Master in Technology Enterprise from IMD in 2006, specializing in Business Administration. In the previous year, 2005, they completed a Master's degree in Project Management at HEC-Univ. Geneva. From 1991 to 1997, they attended Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they studied Engineering with a focus on Energy resources.
